Hi Moderators of VR Forum, pls take note of this seller in case he tries to drop me a negative rating without justification, as I have already dropped him one negative point for the deal that was supposed to take place. I leave it for you all to judge if this seller deserves a negative rating from me.
His VR ID is: Dukebluedevil , mobile no. 982372XX, selling an LG G2 White for $420 few months old black LG G2 selling super cheap
I texted the seller offering $400 to buy his LG G2, to which he replied stating to deal at Tiong Bahru Station under a first-come-first-serve basis. I asked if he could reserve the phone for me until I get to Tiong Bahru tonight since I already confirmed I was getting the phone immediately and not like I was gonna get it a lot later or tomorrow or next week.
Most importantly its basically assurance that I need, as I did not want to make a wasted trip in case I travel down only for him to say it is sold and at the same time I needed to make sure this was a serious seller I'm dealing with and not some prankster in action. Im sure anyone who wants to buy or sell something should have some form of firm gesture to show they are serious in selling or buying.
Instead, he still insisted that he doesn't do reservations because he's worried I may not turn up or want to buy. (Duh, I already stated I wanted to buy) Since I'm in office @ Tanjong Pagar, which is nearby, I decided to travel down to Tiong Bahru. When I reached the MRT station, I texted stating I was there. Zero replies. After 3 msgs still zero replies. When I pointed out that this seller is just fooling around, he came up with a new excuse now saying that he never agreed to sell the phone to me at all in the first place.
Below is the SMS convo that took place:
Me: 7.07pm - Hi interested to buy your lg g2 for 400 today :)
Him: 7.07pm - Thanks Tiong bahru MRT, first come first serve
Me: 7.08pm - If I buy tonight u can reserve and we deal? I dun wanna end up traveling over u tell me its sold
Him: 7.10pm - Haha I don't want to reserve then you don't buy. Will let you know whether I can reserve.
Me: 7.10pm - Reserve for tonight then I go down collect.
Me: 7.19pm - Too free nothing better to do want to play buyers out.
Him: 7.19pm - Hmm?
Me: 7.31pm - Im at Tiong Bahru alrdy
Me: 7.34pm - Where r u? (No response)
Me: 7.37pm - I'm here already (No response, 4 missed calls)
Me: 7.43pm - See, I knew it ur not a serious seller, I was @ tanjong pagar when I msged u and now that I'm here u disappeared. Nice!
Him: 7.52pm - You want to do this, really? Ok let's see where shall we start. You wanted to reserve I said no. No acceptance as to price either. You turned up on your own volition at Tiong Bahru MRT, assuming you ever did. Even if you did, it was just to prove me 'wrong'. Read your messages again.
Me: 7.55pm - Hello read this text which YOU replied to my offer of 400: 'Thanks Tiong Bahru MRT, first come first serve.' I asked if you do reserve for collection tonight you said no then now I turn up you did not bother to reply. First come first serve huh?? Or no phone to sell?
Me: 7.58pm - And your dumb msg saying: 'You wanted to reserve, I said no. You turned up at your own volition at Tiong Bahru MRT, assuming you ever did.' Are you dumb? You said no reserve and asked interested buyers to come down to Tiong bahru FIRST COME FIRST SERVE. SO NOW IM HERE, WHAT YOU HAVE TO SAY? :)
Him: 8.02pm - Well you would be correct on the assumption that you were the first to come. I really have no time to do this, I guess you are entitled to your own opinion but there is no point us continuing this.
Do you all see what's going on here now? First he puts up the offer to sell his phone cheap, then next he claims cannot guarantee to any prospective buyer whether they can secure the phone from him or not cos its under a first-come-first-serve basis at Tiong Bahru Station. Next, I turn up, he doesnt respond, and he pins the blame on me now, saying he never agreed to my price. When I cornered him with my response, he now says I was under my own assumption that I reached Tiong Bahru first before anyone else.
I called him up while I was at Tiong Bahru plaza, and told him off when he finally answered, and this fugger still had the cheek to say its his phone and how he sells it is his problem
Simply put, why dun he just say he has ZERO phones to sell? WTH, tell all prospective buyers no reserve and first come first serve, and when they reach Tiong Bahru station, he tells them its sold. That's as good as playing people out isn't it? This fugger is still shameless enough to feign innocence. Thumbs down.
