Application Engineer (1 Permanent – based in SG)



Responsibilities

• Develop expert understanding of assigned business critical application(s) process flow, hosting model, server infrastructure, database components and integrated company’s systems across other Southeast Asia offices.


• Install, setup, configure, maintain, migrate and monitor assigned business application(s) and its network utilization, ensuring system stability and availability, responding to related systems alerts and attend to them proactively


• Prepare the plans, perform performance/sync testing, documentation and execute applications or relevant patches deployment and configuration change procedures into QA, staging and production environments roll out


• Produce test plans, test cases, test data and test results analysis for system integration testing (SIT) and supporting User Acceptance Testing (UAT)


• Provide support by investigating and resolving the assigned business application(s) and system issues promptly


• Timely escalation of hardware/software issues, work collaboratively with global support team to drive the resolution on the application issues, communicate the statuses, root cause analysis, and provide post resolution reporting for high severity incidents.


• Develop and maintain effective relationships/communications with infra engineering and end user support teams on by provides trainings, knowledge transfer, support policies, procedures and standards


• Data backup and restore responsibility to ensure the data are safeguarded, protected and available when required for business continuity


• Conduct BCP approach / Data Recovery drill periodically


• May call upon to perform any other roles and responsibilities within IT


• May require to travel within Southeast Asia offices

Requirements

• Advanced Diploma / Bachelor Degree in Computer Science/Computing/Information Technology or equivalent


• 1 - 3 years’ of relevant experience in supporting Windows Server applications implementation and MSSQL relational database management systems environment


• Experienced candidates need to be proficient in clustered MS SQL Server 2008/2012 database server-client administration and maintenance


• Proficiency in Microsoft technology products, MS SQL, Qlikview or Crystal Reporting Services, networking will be an added advantage.


• Good and effective communication and interpersonal skills both verbal and written in English


• Excellent analytical, multi-tasking & problem-solving skills


• Intuitive and self-motivated character always striving to improve


• Ability to adapt to changes fast & work under pressure


• Able to maintain a positive and cooperative attitude when work as part of a team and share responsibilities when needed

End User Technology Operations Support (1 Permanent – based in SG)



Responsibilities

• Develop expert understanding and technical knowledge of assigned business critical application(s) process, functionalities and usage, operations, components and integrated company’s systems across other Southeast Asia offices


• Providing regional technical support and operational checking to end-users for hardware and software configuration via phone/ email/ remote or onsite


• Proactively respond to service or incident request for assistance relating to assigned business critical application(s) within SLA till call ticket is closed


• Perform installation, configuration, administration, migration, maintenance, diagnosis, tuning, troubleshooting, patching, upgrading and managing end-users laptops with associated software


• To liaise and collaboratively work with the Global/Application Operations Engineer team to get issues escalated and resolved on timely manner


• Performing system performance validation, compatibility testing with member firm customized images and deploying patches/versions to end-users laptops to align with operation processes


• Data backup and restore responsibility to ensure the data are safeguarded, protected and available when required for business continuity


• Provides trainings, knowledge transfer, support policies, procedures and standards to L1 support desk


• Produce system documentations such as user guide, business manuals, logging system issues and troubleshooting guidelines, supporting knowledgebase and upkeep the document


• May call upon to perform any other roles and responsibilities within IT


• May require to travel within Southeast Asia offices

Requirements

• Diploma / Advanced Diploma / Bachelor Degree in Computer Science/Computing/Information Technology or equivalent


• Fresh graduate - 2 years’ of relevant experience in IT applications end-user support and troubleshooting


• Proficiency in MS SQL Server 2008/2012 database administration and maintenance, backup/restore will be an added advantage.


• Knowledge with Microsoft technology products like Microsoft Windows Operating Systems, Internet Explorer, MS Office, MS SQL, AD environment will be advantageous


• Good and effective communication and interpersonal skills both verbal and written in English


• Excellent analytical & problem-solving skills


• Intuitive and self-motivated character always striving to improve


• Ability to adapt to changes fast & work under pressure


• Able to maintain a positive and cooperative attitude when work as part of a team and share responsibilities when needed


• May require to commit to rotation shift work that include after hours, weekends and public holidays.
