During the past few MOs, I have received many inquires whether KZ makes a neutral, balanced sounding pair of IEMs. Here it is...

KZ ED3 (KZ's current flagship) : SGD$60

Sound characteristics (after 100+ hours burn-in): Smooth, refined and fluid highs without harshness or hardness. Balanced, transparent and textured mids that are neither warm nor mellow. Full, rounded, extended and rhythmic lows. Laid back sounding, with slightly narrower soundstage than CKW-Pro. Extremely musical, non-fatiguing sound signature that is suitable long-hour listening.

Suitable for: vocal, jazz, classical, slow rock, field recording and audio monitoring.

Bottomline: The ED3 is the most balanced and accurate sounding in the entire KZ range. Some people may find its sound "ordinary" especially those who are used to colored-sounding IEMs. I have tried the sample unit and I absolutely love it. Very listenable earphones. DEFINITELY NOT FOR BASSHEADS. For dynamic, punchy bass, choose either CKW-Pro or CM9.
